FinishMount Longhu, China’s eighth World Natural Heritage Site, is located in the outskirts of Yingtan and is the birthplace of Taoism.
Due to the relatively large height differences, most of China’s Danxia landforms are magnificent and precipitous. At Mount Longhu, however, the Danxia landforms are developed maturely and massifs are scattered, forming a forest of peaks. With smaller height differences (around 240 meters at most), the peaks are beautiful and appear in various forms. The Danxia landforms of Mount Longhu are diverse. They are concentrated in an area of about 40 square kilometers in the Mount Longhu and Xianshuiyan scenic areas. The Luxi River flows through the Mount Longhu scenic area, connecting the Danxia landforms on the two banks, and the blue water makes the red hills even more beautiful.
