Jiuxiang Scenic Area

Jiuxiang Scenic Area is located in Jiuxiang Yi and Hui Autonomous Township, Yiliang County, Kunming, and is a new comprehensive scenic area which is mainly comprised of karst cave landscapes and integrates natural landscapes, human landscapes and ethnic customs.

Jiuxiang and the Stone Forest are both karst landscapes. The beauty of the Stone Forest is reflected in its forest of peaks; while the beauty of Jiuxiang is reflected in its karst caves. There are more than 100 karst caves in the Jiuxiang Scenic Area, and it is home to the largest cave system with the most caves in China, and is known as the “Karst Cave Museum” by experts. Sights include Yincui Gorge, Jinghun Gorge, Wolong Cave, Bat Cave, Lion Hall and the Cixiong Waterfalls. It can be enjoyed whether you take a boat between the gorges or ramble amongst the karst caves.

Transportation:Take a minibus from Kunming East Passenger Station to Yiliang County, and then transfer to another minibus to Jiuxiang
