Exploration of Tea Trade

Merchants from Moscow began the import of Chinese tea in the 1670s. The mass production of tea in areas such as Fujian, Zhejiang, Anhui and Jiangxi has helped tea traders across China become substantial merchants. Thanks to the booming production and trade of tea, and the thriving markets of Central Asia and the Far East, legendary merchants emerged in Shanxi, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hebei, and Henan provinces. These businessmen left future generations with a rich architectural heritage and mercantile culture for tourism in places such as Pingyao Ancient City, the Qiao Family Compound, Yaoli Ancient Town, Jiangxi Longevity Palace, Chang Family Manor, and Cao Family Compound. Around eight days are required if you really want to enjoy an in-depth tour.
