On the 68th birthday of People’s Republic of China, at about 10:00 a.m. on the morning of September 29, newly born pandas made appearance in the Moon Delivery House of Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. In 2017, the Panda Base has successfully had 8 births and bred 11 cubs, among which there are 3 pairs of twin pandas and an overseas-born panda.
11 elementary school students representing the 11 panda cubs started the ceremony. These students are all. “environment guardians”as well. They made appearance on the visitor lane outside the Moon Breeding House with information boards of baby pandas in hand.
The “dads and moms” usually seen on hot videos entered the playground with beloved baby pandas and lined up in the shape of “30”, because it was not only the 68th birthday of the People’s Republic of China, but also the 30th birthday of the Panda Base. For 30 years, the Panda Base started from 6 ill, hungry pandas to today’s 184. With continuous hard work and the help of technology, it has become the world’s largest artificial breeding population.
Active baby pandas got together and had fun. Caretakers looked after their “kids” with joy and worries. The scene was happy and lively.
