Li Jinzao Meets with Chief Executive of Occitanie, France
On June 8, local time, CNTA chairman Li Jinzao who was on a trip to France held a meeting with chief executive of the Occitanie region, France in the city of Toulouse. Also present at the meeting were the representative of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Occitanie, vice president of Occitanie Mr. Guillaume and deputy mayor of Toulouse Mr. Valdiguie.
“Recent years have seen the rapid progress of Sino-French relations in various areas and created opportunities for us to boost bilateral tourism cooperation,” noted Li. He suggested fostering bilateral tourism exchange at the local level and launching pragmatic cooperation in opening more air routes, launching exchange programs for tourist police and tourism companies, marketing tourism resources and in tourism education. He welcomed French tourists to visit China.
According to Occitanie’s chief executive, “The tourism industry is a pillar industry in Occitanie and Chinese tourists are warmly welcomed. We’ll work hard to create a friendlier environment for them.” He also expressed the hope that government departments in both countries would work together to open more direct flights and facilitate two-way visits.
Other topics discussed included chartered flights, business tours, high-tech tours, study tours and tourism infrastructure, etc.
Also present at the meeting were senior officials from related CNTA departments and the CNTA office in Paris.
