Stretching along the riverbank, this bustling morning market is a feast for the senses. Peak hours run from 5:00 to 9:30 a.m., cementing its status as a quintessential hotspot in Northeast China. The new market, located roughly 1 km to the north, honors tradition on its first two floors with staples such as kimchi, soondae (Korean blood sausage), tteok (rice cakes), and wild mountain herbs. The third floor offers a chic surprise: an artsy book café for a quiet break.

The "Bullet Screen" Wall

Opposite Yanbian University, this wall is plastered with bilingual neon signs. By day, it's a sleek urban backdrop; by night, it transforms into a dazzling photo spot. Downstairs, a food street serves up local favorites such as budae-jjigae (army stew), Korean fried chicken, and BBQ skewers. With neon as your canvas and light as your brush, the click of the shutter captures the highlight of your journey in a single frame.

China Korean Ethnic Folk Park

Built in 2012 at the foot of Mao'er Mountain in the south of Yanji, this park (also known as Yanji Nightless City) features 40 traditional Korean-style buildings, including nine century-old residences. It vividly recreates historical scenes of stonemasons, fishermen, farmers, and potters. Visitors can don traditional hanbok for photos, watch performances such as the mesmerizing long drum dance, and try their hand at making tteok.
