The Tianzhushan Tourist Attraction is located in Qianshan city, Anhui province. Its main peak, Tianzhu Peak, rises to an altitude of 1,489.8 meters and was extolled by the great Tang Dynasty (618–907) poet Bai Juyi as "a single column propping up the sun and moon, its cavern gates imprisoning clouds and thunder a thousand ren high." The core scenic area covers 102 square kilometers and comprises eight major sections: Sanzu Temple, Jiujing River, Hutou Cliff, Mazu Temple, Main Peak, Back Mountain, Longtan River, and Dalongwo. It was among China's first designated national scenic areas and was named a UNESCO Global Geopark in 2011.
Tianzhu Mountain features a granite peak-cluster landscape that blends the grandeur of northern mountain ranges with the elegance of southern hills. It is celebrated for its "Four Wonders": majestic peaks, fantastically shaped rocks, secluded caves, and crystal-clear waters.
As the highest summit in the Jianghuai region, Tianzhu Peak stands at 1,489.8 meters above sea level. Its name, meaning "Heavenly Pillar," derives from its appearance as a colossal column holding up the sky. The summit bears inscriptions such as "Pillar of the Central Heaven" and "Lone Pillar Propping Up the Firmament." From the Worship Stone Platform below, visitors can also take in sweeping views of a sea of clouds and the Buddha's Halo phenomenon.

With an elevation of 1,424 meters, Feilai Peak is a colossal, smooth boulder perched atop the mountain like a round lid, as if it had flown in from beyond the skies—hence its name, "Flying Peak." Resembling a bamboo hat, a chess piece, or a millstone, the peak takes its name from this extraordinary rock formation.

Formed by enormous collapsed rocks naturally stacked into caves, Mysterious Valley extends more than 450 meters and features a vertical drop of over 100 meters. Within the valley, the caves interconnect to form a winding, perilous, and profoundly mysterious labyrinth.

Tianzhu Mountain also boasts a rich cultural legacy. Across the dynasties, poets and scholars have held it in deep esteem, with figures such as Li Bai, Bai Juyi, and Su Shi leaving behind verses in its praise. As a heartland of ancient Anhui culture, the area preserves abundant folk traditions and stone-carving artistry. The Valley Stream (Shangu Liuquan) Cliff Inscriptions include writings by emperors and literati alike, forming a "history book" carved into stone and bearing witness to Tianzhu Mountain's unique fusion of natural splendor and profound cultural heritage.
