Tofu Balls

Tofu Balls is a very special dish from Guizhou, and “Lei’s Tofu Balls” are the most famous one.

Lei’s Tofu Balls are primarily made from tofu, and also contain glutinous rice, pork, fish, shrimps and other ingredients. They have a crispy surface that is almost a gold color, and the tender tofu stuffing is packed inside the crispy outer. They’re made by being dipped into a slightly spicy sauce that is prepared using pickled radish and herbs. The dish tastes very refreshing, and never greasy even if you eat a lot of it. It has a tender and rich taste and is a seasonal dish eaten in winter, enjoyed by both adults and children.
