FinishNiangpi is a traditional food filled with local flavor. The special part is the bright color and soft texture. Gluten and special seasonings mixed with vinegar, chili oil, mashed garlic, mustard, and chopped leek combine to create a flavor you will never forget.
Niangpi is suitable for all seasons and can be filling or eaten as an appetizer. Some people even add cucumber to their own leftovers so they can enjoy it again. In addition, a kind of black flour sheets which is made from sweet potato but slightly chewy called “Gengpi” is often sold alongside Niangpi. Gengpi has a slightly different flavor and smell from Niangpi as it uses sprouts instead of gluten and leeks. However, it is also delicious and it’s worth a try.
