Xi'an Liangpi

Xi'an Liangpi is a famous dish in Shaanxi Province which can be seen in both high-class restaurants and street vendors. Liangpi sold on the streets of Xi’an are white and transparent and the size same as the food steamer. Boiled rapeseed oil is lightly smeared on the Liangpi after they are steamed and piled up at a chopping board as a signboard. When eating, hawkers will directly cut Liangpi into strips that are the same thickness as chopsticks, add salt, vinegar, specially-made seasoning water, bean sprouts and so on before adding a tablespoon of chili oil. Your mouth is filled with a spicy, delicious and refreshing taste after eating.
