Biangbiang Noodles

Biangbiang Noodles is traditional kind of noodle in the Guanzhong area, Shaanxi Province, China. Apart from steamed bread, “Biangbiang Noodles with Chili Oil” is the most basic and commonly cooked wheaten food.

Biangbiang Noodles is made from flour which come from wheat are planted in the Guanzhong area. Usually, it is manually stretched into long, wide and thick noodles, and seasoning such as soy sauce, vinegar, MSG, pepper, etc., is added into the noodle soup. The noodles are then added to the noodle soup and boiled vegetable oil is ladled in. “Belt-like noodles” is one of the 10 oddities in Shaanxi Province, China, and refers to Biangbiang Noodles.
