Cangyan Mountain

Cangyan Mountain Scenic area is located in the southeast of Jingxing County, Hebei Province, about 70 km away from Shijiazhuang. The mountain rises more than 1,000 m above sea level, and it is a national key Scenic Areas in China.

Here, visitors can enjoy beautiful natural landscapes, visit many temples, and appreciate famous buildings and ancient temples. Cangyan Mountain is surrounded by many old and verdant trees, as well as unique and incalculable natural landscapes, where the famous “Cangyan Sixteen Sceneries,” such as “Sandalwood and Cliffs,” “Stalactite on the Yin Cliff,” “Steep and Stones,” “Peaks and Afterglow,” and “Cypress on the Mountainside” can be found.

Among mountains, various meditation chambers, ancient temples, pavilions and stone tablets are distributed, and most of them are left behind from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Those buildings carved beams and painted rafters are placed above or below the cliff, including Fuqing Temple, Academies, the Immortal Temple, the Princess Shrine, Qiaolou Temple, Peak of the Heavenly Emperor, Fenghui Temple, and the Sutra Library.
