Lianhuashan Ski Resort is the largest comprehensive ski resort in Changchun. It has world-class facilities and is the nearest ski resort to a major Chinese city. The resort’s caters to a mixture of competitive and casual skiers. During the first phase of the construction of the ski resort, a total of 6 ski slopes of easy, intermediate, and advanced difficulty levels were created. During the summer, the slopes can be used for grass skiing and playing golf. The resort’s two newly-built ski lifts and three ski tows not only serve skiers but also paragliders who come to the resort to fly. The resort even has its own lake, called Lotus Lake, which holds over 300,000 m³ of water. In winter, the lake freezes over and many fun activities are held on the ice, such as skating, snowmobiling, tobogganing, and dog- and horse-drawn sledding. When summer arrives, the lake and its surrounding areas are host to various summer activities, such as fishing, swimming, beach volleyball, beach bathing and many others. The resort also has high-quality tennis courts, which are open 24 hours a day.
