The Yellow Crane Tower is a landmark and one of the three places of interests in Wuhan. Writers and poets of different dynasties wrote a lot of poems and articles about the Yellow Crane Tower, spreading its name near and far since the ancient times.

The Yellow Crane Tower stands at the top of the Sheshan Mountain. It has five stories and is over 50 meters tall, with 72 round pillars and 60 upturned corners, just like a yellow crane ready to take off. The inner sides of the stories are decorated with large murals and cultural relics. Outside the tower are some auxiliary buildings, including a bronze yellow crane statue, Shengxiang Dagoba, a memorial archway and some pavilions. The roof is covered with more than 100,000 yellow glazed tiles that shine under the blue sky and white clouds. The Yellow Crane Tower and the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge at the foot of Sheshan Mountain add radiance and beauty to each other. If visitors ascend the tower and look into the distance, they can get a panoramic view of the three towns in Wuhan.
