The Gubeikou section of the Great Wall is an unrestored section consists of the Wohushan, Panlongshan, Jinshanling and Simatai sections of the Great Wall. Through the dilapidated walls, you may truly perceive the vicissitude and majesty of the Great Wall.

The Gubeikou section of the Great Wall takes on various forms of walls and winding paths with many historical sites and scenic spots. It used to be the place where the emperors of the Qing dynasty passed every time when traveling northeast for ancestor worshipping, hunting or inspecting. It was also the summer resort where the Kangxi Emperor once stayed and reviewed his troops.
