FinishMing Xianling Mausoleum is located in Zhongxiang City, Hubei Province. It was the joint burial ground for the Jiajing Emperor's father and mother and was built in the 14th year of the Zhengde era (1519) of the Ming Dynasty. It is the only imperial mausoleum in south central China and the largest single-standing imperial mausoleum from the Ming Dynasty. Its "one mausoleum, twin burial" structure is the only example of its kind in the history of imperial mausoleums.
Xianling Mausoleum is comprised of over 30 vast architectural complexes that lie at the foot of a hill and gradually stretch out in order with the Chundeshan Tablet, Chiyu Tablet, Waiming Pool, Xinhong and Jiuhong gates, Yubei Mansion, Shixiangsheng, Lengxing Gate, Jiuqu Imperial River, Wang Pillar, The Front and Back Treasury Fortress and other sites situated in and set off against the surrounding hills and lakes.
In 2000, Ming Xianling Mausoleum was recognized as a World Heritage Site.

Transportation:All of Wuhan's long-distance bus stations have high-speed coaches that go directly to Zhongxiang. Bus 6 in Zhongxiang City goes directly to the scenic area.
