Mount Emei is located near the mysterious 30 degrees north latitude. Standing majestically in southwestern Sichuan province, it is rich in natural heritages and is known as a natural “plant kingdom,” “animal paradise,” and “geological museum.” Mount Emei is inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List for its “magnificence, gracefulness, mysteriousness, uniqueness, and spirituality.”

The mysteriousness of Mount Emei stems from the infinite time and space that it has gone through. Today, we can learn all about it through some amazing figures: Mount Emei is home to as many as 1,600 kinds of medicinal plants that are reminiscent of fairy tales; more than 3,000 kinds of higher level plants and over 2,300 species of animals constitute this spiritual world; the towering peaks rise from the gentle valleys to an altitude of 3,000 meters. These figures correspond to the natural wonders on this mysterious land that almost seems untrue.
