The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple Cultural Tourism Area, with Erhai Lake to its east and Yingle Peak of Cangshan Mountain to its west, boast very beautiful scenery.

The Chongsheng Temple and Three Pagodas, with the towering Cangshan Mountain in the west and the beautiful Erhai Lake in the east, stands lofty in the middle of Dali Bazi (flat ground). The pagodas and the temple complement each other. The Chongsheng Temple and Three Pagodas are a symbol of Dali as “a famous town of culture,” a symbol of the history and culture of ancient Yunnan, and one of the oldest and most magnificent buildings in southern China. The complex is 14 km from Xiaguan and is located at the foot of Yingle Peak of Cangshan Mountain 1.5 km north of Dali Ancient Town. The three pagodas, one large and two small, form a triangle. Seen from a distance, the pagodas are extraordinarily tall and graceful and are an important attraction in the Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake area.
