The entrance gate area shows magnificent scenery that was centuries in the making and is the most distinctive example in Mongolian culture. The sculptures of “horses and tents” are the only large-scale sculptures that fully demonstrate Genghis Khan’s armies and camps, representing his glorious history when founding his empire across Europe and Asia. You can also enjoy the large minority stage play “The Proud Son of Heaven”, which presents Genghis Khan’s life in stage form.

The Genghis Khan Mausoleum Tourist Area is located on Gander Pasture in Ejin Horo Banner in southeastern Ordos. The tourist area includes various scenic spots such as the Magnificent Entrance Scene, the Sculpture Group of Armored Horses and Golden Tents, a Map of Europe and Asia, the Museum of Mongolian History and Culture and the Central Plaza.
