FinishThe Lijiang River, located in the east of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is a part of the Pearl River System. The river extends from Guilin to Yangshuo with a total length of 83 kilometers and is the best of all the scenery in Guilin. It is one of the biggest and most beautiful karst tourist areas in the world that like a green ribbon wriggles through thousands of spectacular peaks. The landscape along the river is charming and exquisite with peaks reflected in the green waters, deep pools, gushing springs and waterfalls like a colorful painting. As the saying goes “a hundred miles of the Lijiang River is like a hundred-mile-long gallery”.
There are many great scenic spots in the Lijiang River Scenic Area. If time is limited, it is best to visit the most typical key spots: one river (the Lijiang River), two caves (Reed Flute Cave and Seven Star Cave), and three mountains (Solitary Beauty Peak, Fubo hill and Diecai Hill). These sites best represent the essence of the mountains and waters of Guilin.
