Haikou

Haikou, or the Coconut City, is the provincial capital and largest transportation hub of Hainan Province. It is a strategic pivot along the "Belt and Road" initiative, and the political, economic, technological and cultural center of Hainan.

Haikou boasts a pleasant climate, with summer all year round. It is also a hot destination for tourists for its fascinating array of famous historical and cultural sites: Qilou Arcade Street, the Temple of the Five Lords and Wanlv Park in the downtown area; Holiday Beach, Impression Hainan and Volcano Geological Park in the west; Hainan Tropical Wildlife Park and Botanical Garden in the southwestern suburbs; and Dongzhaigang Mangroves in the eastern suburbs.
