Hainan, officially abbreviated to "Qiong" in Chinese, is the China's southernmost province. In 110 BC, the central government established the Zhuya and Dan'er Counties on Hainan Island, under the jurisdiction of the governor of Jiao Province. This marked Hainan's official incorporation into China's territory.
As China's one and only province on a tropical island, Hainan is endowed with unparalleled natural resources and extremely rich tourist resources, including 81 peculiarly-shaped rolling peaks which rise 1,000 meters above sea level, an azure sky, blue sea and enchanting tropical rainforests which make Hainan an ideal tourist destination.
